Choosing a Magic Mixies refill pack starts with the toy already in your home: these refills are made for different playsets, so they are not interchangeable by default. I rank the standard Magical Mist Refill Pack first for its broad stated fit with the Crystal Ball and Cauldron, while the Genie Lamp refill is the clear match for Genie Lamp owners. For children who want new activities rather than the longest mist supply, the Cream Tea spells refill adds two spells and more than 20 mist reveals. The main tradeoff is straightforward: repeatable mist moments versus fresh spell ingredients, with compatibility deciding which options are usable at all.

Key Takeaways
- The standard Magical Mist Refill Pack is the strongest general pick among these options when the playset is a compatible Crystal Ball or Cauldron; it is described as providing over 80 mist moments.
- Genie Lamp owners should choose the lamp-specific refill rather than assume the standard pack fits their toy.
- The Cream Tea pack offers two new spells and over 20 mist reveals, making it the most activity-focused choice rather than the biggest mist supply.
- All three products are refills, not standalone toys, and each requires a compatible Magic Mixies playset sold separately.
- Check the exact playset name before buying: the supplied product details do not establish that these packs work across every Magic Mixies toy.

More Details on Our Top Picks
Magic Mixies Magical Mist Refill Pack
This is my best overall pick for buyers whose set is specifically the Magic Mixies Crystal Ball or Cauldron. The pack includes two vials and is described as supplying over 80 magical mist moments, so it is aimed at restoring the main reveal effect for repeated play rather than adding a new storyline. Compared with the Genie Lamp refill, its stated compatibility points to different toys; choosing by the playset name matters more than choosing by appearance or the shared mist-pack label.
Against the Cream Tea refill, this pack focuses on a larger stated number of mist moments, while Cream Tea brings new spell ingredients and two spells. That makes this the more direct choice when the mist effect is the reason a child returns to the toy. Its limitation is equally clear: it is a refill only, and the Crystal Ball or Cauldron is sold separately. The provided details also warn that some buyers may find the mist supply insufficient for extended play, so “over 80” should not be read as an exact guarantee of how long a particular child’s play sessions will last.
Pros:- Two vials are included.
- Described as providing over 80 mist moments.
- Specifically presented for use with the Crystal Ball and Cauldron.
- Simple squeeze-vial format supports manual refilling.
Cons:- Requires a compatible Crystal Ball or Cauldron, sold separately.
- Adds mist rather than new spells or a standalone activity.
- The supplied details say the mist may not satisfy every buyer’s expectations for extended play.
Best for: Owners of a compatible Magic Mixies Crystal Ball or Cauldron who want a straightforward mist refill for repeated reveals.
Not ideal for: Genie Lamp owners, families without the required playset, or children who would rather add new spell steps than repeat mist reveals.
- Number of vials:2
- Stated mist use:Over 80 magical moments
- Playset compatibility:Magic Mixies Crystal Ball and Cauldron, sold separately
- Age range:5–15 years
- Included components:2 bottles (vials), instruction manual, vegetable glycerin
- Item weight:0.02 kg
- Item dimensions:1.42 × 3.11 × 0.83 inches
Our verdict“I’d choose this first for a compatible Crystal Ball or Cauldron when repeated mist reveals matter more than adding new spells.”
Magic Mixies Magical Mist Refill Pack for Magic Genie Lamp
If the toy in your home is the Magic Genie Lamp, this is the purpose-built choice: its stated compatibility is narrower than the standard mist pack, but that specificity is its main advantage. It includes two easy-to-squeeze vials and is described as providing over 80 magical moments, putting its mist supply on similar stated footing to the standard pack. The deciding difference is not the number of vials; it is whether the child has the Genie Lamp rather than a Crystal Ball or Cauldron.
Compared with Cream Tea, this pack is for refreshing the lamp’s mist play, not introducing two new spells or a mix of activity ingredients. It therefore suits families who want to keep using an existing effect with minimal fuss. The tradeoff is limited flexibility: the listing names the Genie Lamp only, and the manual squeeze format has no electronic features. I would not buy it as a general Magic Mixies refill unless the exact toy match has been checked, since the supplied description does not say it works with the other sets.
Pros:- Designed specifically for the Magic Genie Lamp.
- Includes two refill vials.
- Described as providing over 80 magical moments.
- Straightforward squeeze application.
Cons:- Compatibility is limited to the Genie Lamp according to the supplied details.
- Manual operation has no electronic features.
- Does not add the new spells and varied ingredients included with Cream Tea.
Best for: Families who already own the Magic Mixies Genie Lamp and want more mist moments for that specific toy.
Not ideal for: Owners of the Crystal Ball or Cauldron, shoppers seeking new spell activities, or anyone looking for a standalone toy.
- Number of vials:2
- Stated mist use:Over 80 magical moments
- Playset compatibility:Magic Mixies Genie Lamp
- Age guidance:5–15 years
- Material:LDPE, polypropylene copolymer, paper, vegetable glycerin
- Operation:Manual
- Item weight:0.02 kg
- Item dimensions:1.42 × 3.11 × 0.83 inches
Our verdict“For a Genie Lamp household, I’d pick this over the standard mist pack because the stated playset match is the deciding factor.”
Cream Tea Magic Mixies – Magical Mist and Spells Refill Pack for Magic Cauldron, Multicolor
Cream Tea is the most varied refill in this group. Rather than centering on a pair of mist vials, it supplies ingredients for two new spells and over 20 mist reveals, including themed materials such as Unicorn Tears, Rainbow Drops, and Fairy Sprinkles. That makes it the better fit for children who enjoy following a sequence of pretend spell-casting steps. By comparison, the standard mist refill emphasizes over 80 mist moments, so it is the more direct pick for replenishing a repeated reveal effect.
This pack is explicitly for the Magic Mixies Magic Cauldron, which means compatibility is just as important here as it is for the Genie Lamp refill. Its ingredients and dissolvable components create more activity variety, but they also make the refill less like a simple top-up. The available information does not describe the exact duration of each spell or how much of each ingredient is used, and the set is limited to the spells included. I would choose it for a Cauldron owner seeking a fresh activity, not for someone who mainly wants the highest stated number of mist moments.
Pros:- Adds ingredients for two new spells.
- Described as providing over 20 mist reveals.
- Includes a broader mix of spell materials than either two-vial mist pack.
- Offers a different play pattern from repeating mist-only reveals.
Cons:- Requires the Magic Mixies Magic Cauldron, sold separately.
- Its stated reveal count is lower than the over-80 claims for the other two packs.
- Activities are limited to the specific spells and ingredients included.
Best for: Magic Cauldron owners whose children want new spell-casting steps and varied ingredients as well as mist reveals.
Not ideal for: Shoppers seeking a simple high-count mist refill, Genie Lamp owners, or families without the specified Magic Cauldron.
- Playset compatibility:Magic Mixies Magic Cauldron, sold separately
- New spells:2
- Stated mist reveals:Over 20
- Included components:Vial, dissolvable papers, fluid gel, foam powder, instruction manual, molded fizz, popping crystals, soap paper, spell books, vegetable glycerin
- Recommended age:5–15 years
- Dissolvable compound:Yes
- Item weight:0.01 kg
- Item dimensions:1.3 × 1.3 × 2.8 inches
Our verdict“I’d choose Cream Tea over either mist-only pack when a compatible Cauldron owner values new spell steps more than a higher stated reveal count.”
How We Picked
I ranked these packs around the question a refill buyer needs answered first: will it work with the playset already at home? I then compared the stated number of mist moments, whether a pack adds activities beyond mist, and how clearly its role differs from the other two. The standard mist pack takes the lead for its stated fit with the Crystal Ball and Cauldron and its claim of over 80 moments. The Genie Lamp pack earns a separate spot because it serves a specific toy rather than competing as a universal refill. Cream Tea ranks as the pick for spell variety, though its over-20-reveal claim is lower than the mist packs’ stated count.
I used only the product information provided for this comparison. That information does not confirm compatibility with every generation or version of a playset, nor does it give a precise amount of mist per vial. I treat age guidance, included components, and activity counts as supplied claims, not as evidence that a refill is a good fit for every child. My rankings reflect compatibility, play value, and distinct use case; they do not rely on price, ratings, or personal testing.

Factors to Consider When Choosing Magic Mixies Refill Pack
I’d make the purchase decision in this order: match the refill to the playset, decide whether the child wants mist or new activities, then check age guidance and the included components. That order helps avoid the most frustrating outcome: owning a refill that sounds right but is not listed for the toy already in the play area.
Match the refill to the exact playset
The three products do not share one clearly stated compatibility list. The Genie Lamp refill names the Magic Genie Lamp; the standard Magical Mist pack names the Crystal Ball and Cauldron; Cream Tea names the Magic Cauldron. These details overlap around the Cauldron but do not confirm every model or edition. I would check the packaging or product listing against the exact toy name before ordering, especially if the set is an older or differently named version. A refill’s shared brand and mist theme are not proof that it fits every Magic Mixies toy.
Choose between repeat reveals and new spell play
The standard mist pack and Genie Lamp refill are the straightforward options when the child wants to repeat the existing mist effect; each is described as providing over 80 magical moments. Cream Tea takes a different approach, with two spells and over 20 mist reveals. Its lower stated reveal count does not make it a poorer choice for a child who likes steps, ingredients, and pretend spell-casting. It simply serves a different play preference. I’d prioritize the mist packs for replenishing a familiar moment, and Cream Tea for refreshing the activity itself.
Treat activity counts as stated claims, not exact session lengths
“Over 80 moments” and “over 20 reveals” describe the product information, but the supplied details do not explain how a moment is counted or how long a child’s play session will last. The standard mist pack’s own supplied drawback notes that some users may want more for extended play. I would use these counts to compare the packs broadly, not as a promise of a particular number of afternoons or a fixed amount of mist per session.
Check what comes in the pack
The two mist-focused options list two vials, which keeps the refill format simple. Cream Tea lists a wider assortment of ingredients, including papers, gel, fizz materials, and spell books. That extra variety supports its different play style, but it also means the contents are tied to particular spells rather than serving as an interchangeable mist supply. All three are refills, so none replaces the main playset. The product details identify the main toy as sold separately for the stated compatible sets.
Keep age guidance and small components in view
The supplied age guidance for these products is around 5–15 years. Cream Tea includes multiple small and dissolvable components, while the mist products are manual squeeze-vial refills. Follow the included instructions and the age information on the specific package, and store refill materials where younger children cannot access them. If the recipient is outside the listed range or needs adult help with small components, the refill’s extra activity should not be treated as a reason to overlook supervision or package directions.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are these three Magic Mixies refill packs interchangeable?
The supplied product details do not say that they are interchangeable. The Genie Lamp pack is listed for the Magic Genie Lamp, the standard Magical Mist pack is described for the Crystal Ball and Cauldron, and Cream Tea is for the Magic Cauldron. I’d match the exact toy name and check its instructions or package before buying rather than rely on the shared Magic Mixies branding.
Which pack provides the most stated mist moments?
The standard Magical Mist Refill Pack and the Genie Lamp refill are each described as providing over 80 magical moments. Cream Tea is described as providing over 20 mist reveals while adding ingredients for two spells. Those figures help distinguish their stated focus, but they do not specify session length or guarantee the same number of uses for every child.
Does the standard Magical Mist Refill Pack work with the Genie Lamp?
The provided details list the standard pack for the Crystal Ball and Cauldron, while the separate Genie Lamp refill names the Magic Genie Lamp. They do not confirm that the standard pack works with the lamp. For a Genie Lamp, I’d select the lamp-specific refill unless the toy’s instructions or the seller confirms another compatible option.
Is Cream Tea a better choice than a mist-only refill?
Cream Tea is a better fit for a compatible Magic Cauldron owner who wants two new spells and a range of ingredients. It is not the strongest match for someone focused on the largest stated number of mist moments, since the two mist-only options claim over 80 moments and Cream Tea claims over 20 reveals. The right choice depends on whether the child prefers fresh spell steps or repeating the mist effect.
Do I need to buy a Magic Mixies playset with a refill pack?
Each item here is a refill, not a standalone toy. The descriptions identify a compatible playset sold separately or state that the pack is designed for a specific toy. If the child does not already have the matching Genie Lamp, Crystal Ball, or Cauldron, I would check the full playset requirements before choosing a refill, since the pack alone does not provide the main toy.
Conclusion
My recommendation depends on the playset first. For a compatible Crystal Ball or Cauldron owner who wants repeated mist reveals, I’d start with the standard Magical Mist Refill Pack. For a Genie Lamp household, the lamp-specific two-vial refill is the clear match. For a Cauldron owner seeking new spell activities, Cream Tea is the more distinctive choice, even though its stated mist-reveal count is lower. If the toy model is uncertain, I’d verify compatibility before choosing: with these three packs, the right fit matters more than the shared refill label.
